Dry Rub Chicken Wings & Ranch Dressing

For the wings

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 tsp onion salt
  • 5 tsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

For the dip

  • 200 g 1/2 fat creme fraiche
  • 200 g light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 a lemon (juice only)
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion salt


  • Coat the raw wings in the olive oil
  • Mix the dry ingredients together and rub it evenly onto the wings
  • Place the wings on a wire rack on top of a baking tray and bake in the oven at 180°C (fan) for 1 hour.
  • In the meantime, mix all of the ingredients for the dip together and place in the fridge.
  • Serve with carrot and celery to dip
